Three times now whilst in the middle of a ball my TOM has made a small electrical crackling sound (for want of a better term) like it may have a loose connection somewhere then turned itself off, then back on again?? I have noticed a couple of times when just turning it on that it has made the same sort crakling noise sort of like electrical arching (zzzz).
Any ideas?
Thanks..tim

check the ground strap from the body to the headbox. Otherwise it could be the driver board. Do you know if the driver board was serviced before you bought the game ?

with the machine off remove and re connect all the connectors on the boards.
sounds like you have a dodgy connection.
is the noise coming from the speakers?

Is the buzzing coming from the actual driver board?

If so, with the game off and unplugged just gently touch each fuse to see if its a tight fit.

I have had a similar problem, reboots and buzzing where a fuse was not sitting snug in the plastic pcb mount holder.

Easy fix to replace the entire fuse holder if thats the case.

thanks guys I will concentrate on all of your suggestions. It only happens spasmodically so I will have to wait for it to happen again to try to work out if the buzzing I hear is coming from the speakers, driver board or wherever. In the mean time I will look at earth cables, fusses and the connectors onto the boards.
Will let you know what happens.
