I'm hoping someone with a Flash Gordon can help me out here. My original playfield has these two metal posts up the top of the playfield. Ones on the right of the 3x drop targets and the other is to the left of the yellow target. Their the same type that are used in a couple of other locations on the playfield.



This next picture is of my new playfield with the holes shown in a similar place. My question is, are there suppose to be posts in these locations? The posts are two large to fit the holes, maybe I just have to drill them out a bit but there's no reference to posts being in this location in the manual.

Check ipdb.org as I believe the photos for any of the games there are supposed to be of original format games with no mods etc. There may be a photo that can give you clues. The holes look like they are for posts and maybe the ones originally used are the wood screw type and those you have are the larger ones that take a nut at the other end. What style is from your original pf? Does manual refer to any type of post at all?

Had a look at internet pinball dB and the photos there are pretty inconclusive but do look like the thin wood screw style. I am sure someone here with the game will provide a part number. Push comes to shove you can drill bigger holes if you want to use your original posts

I have new posts which are a metal thread the same as the other ones on the game. Maybe there were originally woodscrews but changed over to metal ones somewhere during its life.
I didn't think of looking on ipdb, good idea though, thanks. I have the original flyer but I couldn't tell there either.

Yes, but not as big as I thought though. All done now and posts are in.  ^^^
