Bally sling shot switches
« on: May 21, 2013, 11:44:43 PM »
Hi Guys,

I'm having trouble finding new switches for the sling shots on my Flash Gordon and the existing ones have seen better days. The part number is ASW-A10-47. If these aren't available anymore, what's the equivalent switch?

I think you may be after ASW-A1-167.  There is a slight difference in the centre leaf that separates the two contacts.

I would imagine that these would be a pretty generic switch.  Hopefully RTBB should have something in stock that will suit.  Might be worth a quick email or phone call (if you have 5 mins for a chat as well  ;o)  )

I bought a few things for my Space Invaders from Pinball Resource as no one else had the stuff. So if no one in Oz has them, maybe try PBR

Thanks for all of the advice guys. I think I'll have to try PBR if no one knows of a substitute for these switches. They're defiantly coded as ASW-A10-47

I wouldn't be too worried between the two switches.  They are basically the same apart from the centre leaf which will add a bit of tension to the front leaf better suited to the sling shot rubber resting against it I'd think.  The book contradicts itself, on page 81, it states the ASW-A1-167 as the sling shot switch.  Either will do the job or anything remotely similar I'd imagine.
