Fathom problems again
« on: May 06, 2014, 08:52:36 PM »
Hi all, it seems one problem is fixed and another is found. Problem is  at the end of a game and the balls are in either kick out hole it will not eject the balls. Both kick out seem to work during game play , it is only at the end of a game. all switches are OK in test mode. !@#

Did you find the switch problem That was causing the random scoring?? Try sol test. maybe check the wiring on those 2 coils, and the switches on the kick out holes? Try switch test again , remove ball from out hole first , then work through any that may be stuck on using the no displayed on credit display.

Do they kickout when you start a new game?

Balls don't kick out  at the start of a game . In switch test no switches come up as stuck , same for solenoids all working. Still randomly scoring as like a switch is stuck. Weird !

Sounds like the ball trough switches are stuck "on". The game thinks they are in the trough when they are not.

Try a simple test - The game will not start without all three balls in the trough. Leave ONE in the trough and see if the game boots or starts. If it does, then the trough switches are playing up.

Hi all, fixed the kick out problem.  Switched switch #6 on ALTEK board from on to off - End of game balls in saucer . The other problem random scoring like a switch is stuck not fixed. Seems to happen when the first green target on the left hand bank drops that it is at its worst . The sound it makes when scoring is the same as if going over the rollover buttons. The target and rollover buttons are linked by a common wire (orange with black) . Definately no switches stuck. Hope this makes sense. Any suggestions would be a great help. I need this fixed as I am moving this one on. @@^
