Thanks for the update and good to hear there is plenty of positive stuff going on.

I actually sent Aspect an email after my last post.  I got an email back to say they had forwarded my email onto the local Albury Branch to see if there was any interest in pinball and anything or event that it may be suitable for.  In short I offered to drop a machine into them for a few hours to see what sort of reaction the kids had to it and let the teachers gauge whether a pinball/s could be something a little bit left field that may help bridge the gap between those with A and the general community or bring the kids out of their shell a little bit.  Hopefully I hear back from them.

As a matter of interest, what style of machine do you think would have the best results?  DMD machines with a deep rule set, basic DMD machines, EM or early SS machines?  Would something like a Hulk machine be better for the younger kids and deeper games as the kids get older?

Best of luck with the machines on site as well.

Good on you!  My autistic boys like machines with a lot of reward ( lots going on ) but fairly simple and straight forward, WCS94 is their favourite, that being said they are very interested in knowing all the rules and how to achieve goals on deeper games.  I would suggest a newer game but they do like them all even the em at my fathers house.

Thanks!
The games at my place that get the biggest workout from the younger crowd are the DMDs. The dads take a look at the older games as it brings back the childhood memories.
I'm happy with that as the DMDs have better flipper circuitry than the old models with tungsten EOS switches, should be better able to withstand a meltdown than older ones with near direct power and just a tungsten EOS switch.
