For sale - HAKKO 808 desoldering pump & Hakko stand
« on: August 17, 2014, 08:27:07 PM »
Cleaning out the remaining items from my stash of bits...

1 x genuine supplied Australian 240v HAKKO 808 desoldering pump and Hakko 633 stand.

Pump would have had less than 10 min use, in excellent condition.

Also comes with some spares too.

$425.00

I bought a brand new Hakko 808, with stand and extra tips from the US.  Brought a step down transformer locally.  Came to less than $350 including postage @@*

Great piece of gear ^^^  Now I wonder how I got along without it!

OK, just to clarify that I'm not ripping anyone off, I purchased mine via RS Components for $490+GST and the additional stand on top of that.

I thought $400 was a fair price given the little to no use its had.

Sheesh....So am I now supposed to knock a further $100??  FFS.....

I bought the desoldering station and the stand. I am aware of the availability and the price of this unit in the USA. I didn't buy the USA version as I use my step down for other tools and I didn't want to purchase another Step Down. I also wanted Aussie Warranty - so I'm more than happy to pay full price and have the unit in a couple of days.

MartyJ is always VERY fair (sometimes "too" fair) in selling his items. I'm happy to pay the price.  ^^^

Sorry, I was not having a go at you, I was just pointing out to the person who regretted missing out that there are other options available.  If i was to do a lot of 'off-site' work I would prefer a 240V model %$%

Thanks mate, but I am leaning toward a 'bench top' unit, this would have been great at that price.
Simon.

I paid $505 for a new Hakko 808   about 3 months back. Then I found out WES has it at a better price. You don't see these in good nic used much because they're a quality tool.

Hakko desoldering pumps are tremendous.

I know at least one person who still uses a manual solder sucker, doesn't have to heat up, doesn't put any wear and tear on his Hakko, which he uses for 'tougher' or 'bigger' jobs.

I've got a pair of Hakko 470 bench units, and an 808 in my field service kit. I've still got a manual solder sucker (haven't used it in years, but why throw it away? It's still good!) and desoldering braid. I *do* use braid sometimes.

Just depends on the application.
