Playfield Doodles
« on: January 11, 2015, 12:52:57 PM »
I know a lot of us have ideas or concepts that should be in a pin especially after a new pin is introduced as we become the biggest critics.

I have been modelling the basics of a WPC Fliptronic 2 era game - creature era to scale. Here is a playfield doodle file, consider it your napkin that you can doodle playfield ideas and maybe then scan and share back some ideas back in this thread. Lets see how creative we are.

You will notice the shooter lane is different as I designed a replaceable shooter lane concept that still needs work to include consideration for the auto launch mech as well as the shooter lane switch. But the idea is it can be coloured, metal, whatever and easily swap out for a different colour to suit the theme or to freshen it up. Also you could get it in a translucent material and have lighting underneath.

Yeah, that is a relatively easy one, but I won't step on Mezelmods toes and don't have a TWD to check out.

I use Solidworks for modelling but sketch up is a free option.
