Has anyone had a LED melt down. I noticed that a flasher on the playfield was stuck on and also smelt a burning smell. First I though a shorted transistor. Took the back glass out and found this melted flasher in the back board which corresponded with the playfield flasher. Tested the flasher output from the board which tested OK, no short. Checked the playfield flasher which looked fine. Changed out the back box flasher and tested the flashers which both worked perfectly. Played about ten games to make sure!!!!
I can only guess it was just a faulty LED? Do stuck on LED flashers normally melt down? I wonder why a faulty LED in the back box would cause the playfield flasher to light up?
