Play better! Pinball tips from the world’s top competitors
« on: March 04, 2015, 07:08:26 AM »
Hi all,

I've been busy talking to some of the world's best pinball players (Bowen Kerins, Cayle George, Steve Edwards from your neck of the woods, Sweden's Helena Walter etc) to get some training tips of doing better in competitions.

There's some pretty interesting advice (like setting your machines to two balls,) and it's all at:

if you want to read it.

Cheers,

Paul

Nice article Paul.
Steve Edwards probably sums up the best. Relax and just hit it.
One thing he did not mention was to have the occasional swing of VB.

I go for the old proven philosophy, “hit when lit”.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

Yep, thats a good one.  ^^^
One thing I have noticed and do is that when you hold the flipper up after playing a shot, the centre drain angle is drastically increased, therefore as soon as I hit the ball I let go of the button letting the flipper drop into rest position and decreasing the drain angle again. Works really well in frantic multi ball modes.

If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.
