Where to get playfield inserts ????
« on: April 27, 2009, 11:41:03 PM »
Hi All,

Done a few searches and failing miserably to find a supplier of "playfield inserts".
Besides gutting an old playfield, where can we buy NEW (or very clean/unfaded) inserts from ??
No doubt i have to order O/seas?

Before i start making them, hopefully someone will send some great links  :lol

Thanx,
MM.

Thanx for that, i saw the mixed-bag, so that's a good start until i need specific-inserts from them.

Contact these guys;

http://www.classicplayfields.com/

They buy them in bulk for their playfields - they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Wish I'd thought of that when collecting them for Coconut Island - that big bag from PBR is not all that good, lots of crappy purple ones, and odd ball stuff among it, bit light on useful stuff.

Marty, try Marco Specialties.
They seem to have a good range.

Hi Guys,

Thanx for all replies.
I had discovered yesterday that Marco has a nice range at good pricing (odd?)

I'll more than likely buy in 100's of these suckers for my own upcoming projects.

Thanx again,
MM.

Hey Marty if you do end up buying a mixed bag of them id be keen on buying a few off you as a few of my wall hangers are missing some. I could only find em in the big mixed lots and only needed 3 or so and couldnt bring myself to get em

Not so sure i'll get one of those 'mixed bags' they look a little like the "dregs option".

I'll probably order (for startres) 10 of each colour/size to get my own projects upto speed, and no doubt pass on my spares to whoever needs some here.

Not sure if there's much of a demand for inserts from people here, but i'll keep bringing in my own orders as i need more, and pass on accordingly....
If it all goes good, i might become "the insert guy" hehehehehe.

There's no way i'll pay $5-per-insert at huntingdale, sheesh  %$%  ^.^ !*! ^&^

Daniel, when you come down to see Coconut Island, you can look through the left overs - there's lots.
