The pin i'm thinking of getting is a Centaur.... nice to see it was mentioned in at least one post. I remember being mezmorised by it when it first came out to the point where I was even nervous playing it. I guess this first impression is a factor too in me wanting it

Played it on Pinmame a bit and read positive reviews and so far is top of my list ...anyone own one here? what do you think of it?

That's a game worth mentioning. I'm just not a fan of the "dark" theme of whole package, but it is a played and they are one of the easier later Ballys to source.

G'day freeplay
Centaur is a great choice, one of my fav's, but embryon is a machine that deserve's a mention & is very underated.
Both machines had a similar production run,but you rarely see embryon for sale & for good reason, it's a great machine from the early 80's era !

Totally agree - This machine (Embryon) is on my "wishlist", and I know where there is a MINT machine - just waiting for the phone call !

Yep - I have got one and recommend it if you can find one at a reasonable price.  Big problem with Centaur is that they got hammered on location so playfield wear is often an issue.  The 'LE' version with the half height backglass is often a cheaper option if you can stand the look of it - plays exactly the same.
