Importing Pins
« on: June 02, 2009, 08:50:20 PM »
Hey just wondering if anybody has had any experience bringing in a single pinny from the states or bringing in more on a pallet or a crate.
I'm liking the look of the current exchange rate, i haven't inquired about shipping costs.

Thanks

I've only done such a thing from Germany. Cost around AUS$1300 (air freight) which covered the shipping and costs from the shipper to my custom's agent.

The importing was too easy - They take care of EVERYTHING. They deal via email and then give you shipping details after you have paid. The details include your broker/Customs Agent, and they call you when the game arrives at their depot. You just need to sign it over to them (they send you a fax) - and then you can pick it up yourself (save $150), or they can deliver. If the right machine popped up again, I would have complete confidence in them.

When Greg and I brought two games in from the US, the cost for shipping was approximately $2,000 US for both. Possibly was a little cheaper than if they came in separately.

the costs can be very different from around the world, ring around a few freight places and most will be able to quote you . but on average it will be from 800 - 1500  for freight place charges  and if air or sea ectect
always remember you will have to add GST  on them
when they arrive.  I normally bring in containers and have only a few times brought in 1s and 2s
where abouts in USA ?  as I am bringing a few parts in might be able to add it for you

PM me as I will be checking here while away.

I purchased my Corvette pin from pauls50's out of germany. It was 5 years ago now, paid for it in euros, easy transaction, he air freighted it out, arrived here in less than a week. He is good to deal with, he's shipped hundreds of pins worldwide, very experienced indeed.

He has a good selection, but I would try and source a pin within australia first, and germany or os as only a last resort.
