Theatre of Magic Translite for sale
« on: June 06, 2009, 05:37:54 PM »
Just bought a ToM translite "geniune" repro from Wayne on ebay. Don't know of the quality etc but thought I'd mention it in case someone like me, who has been looking for ages, wants one. I think 3 avail at time of posting.

I'm hoping its good seeing I have a couple of shocking repors in my desperate efforts to get one  ^&^

Not sure if they will be genuine 'genuine's as Wayne was looking for someones original to copy from a little while ago.  But good luck, you never know  *%*

Got my Mr Pinball ToM translite today. I know there's a bit of anamosity towards this guy but I have to give credit where it is due. The repro job is fantastic. I'm over the moon with the result. The picture I've taken was on my i-phone so quality is not the best and probably does not do the translite justice. The pic shows it mounted and lit up. The colour may be a little faded but not sure as I haven't got the two side by side lit up and the only difference I could spot is the"TM" is missing near the top right. This may have been omitted to make spotting a repro easily.

But to give it a score, I'd say 9.5 to 9.75/10. I paid $100 even for it BTW, the same price as a poor quality repro I purchased a little while ago.

If you don't have an original to compare it to, I am sure you couldn't faulter it at all and I highly recommend it if the one you have is pissing you off a bit. Mine had minor scratches but enough for my eye to constantly look at them rather than the total package.

The other bonus is you can go in and look at it before you buy, not like the bad one I got OS.
