Highest Price Paid for a Medievil Madness
« on: June 19, 2009, 01:29:49 AM »
I Stopped into Edward's Cafe in Reservoir to have a few games on some Pinball that they have never. I have never been in there before but I found Pirates of the Caribbean, Medievel madness and Scared Stiff. I played two games of Medievel Madness and noticed the troll was not working, The playfeild was practically black, The DMD was 50% working with heaps of lines missing and a few other issues. On the Scared stiff machine was the Operator's details so I gave hime a call to let him know that he has some issues with the games, He was a polite man but really not concerned with the machines. So I asked him if I can buy it so it will go to a good home, he told me I would have to offer him more than $20,000 dollars as he had this offer a few months ago and he rejected it. I told him for that price I can perhaps buy two, he told me not in that condition I won't because it was Australian delivered amd one owner only (with about a thousand people who have played it). I saw the conversation was not going anywhere so I left it at that.

20K eh,phew  *!@  I take it that your search for a MM continues,
Most that I saw one go for was in the States and that went for U.S.$12.500.00 I thought that was a little much but having said that MM is a machine that is only going to get more expensive with most that are out there in collectors hands and those collectors not wanting to part with them its only going to push the price up.I myself cannot remember the last on that sold in England, Its been that long since I have seen one for sale here.
MM is one sought after machine. #.#

Is that called Zagame's now? If so I have been there before and there was a TSPP in there, but I didn't play it as I was about to head off to the Bushfire Aid Meet and Greet and knew I could play one there. Ironically I didn't.

The guy didn't want to sell, he just said $20K to get rid of you. You are right, you can get two better ones for that price. And most operators these days don't seem to care if the machines are working properly or not as it is not worth their time to fix them.

Zagames - Yep - Not a place to meet to play Pinball !

There used to be Billiard room upstairs call "Top Room", which attracted a lot of notoriety in the 70's. Police station was 300 meters away, but the police were never game enough to enter the place !

Zagami's is down the road next to the lake, it has a Dark Knight Pinball owned by the Same guy. His company is called Frank's Amusements. He is an Operator only and now has changed his mind and will not sell at any price because someone else has now offered him 20 grand and he has refused it. He has two Medievil Madness machines. I wasn't looking for the machine as I just purchased a Attack ffrom Mars from Child Amusments but what I was looking for was to put that machine in a better home. It is going downhill very fast and he dosen't care about the machine.

Also the Top room in Reservoir is now a gym the place I am talking about is just two doors up from that.

Yes - The old "top Room" - My old man used to own a Coffee Shop in the 70's called "Delfinos" - which I think is a flower shop nowadays. Many memories of those days !

For 20K and half a brain you could build the best collection of games  #@#

No game is worth that - he was just being a pr*ck and is probably sick of being asked if that game is for sale

One just got listed on Ebay for $8,900 plus postage from Paul 50's. It looks a lot better and half the price.

Around 30, how good would that be  *%*

Should clear that up - that would be 30 games from the 1970s  @.@
