its funny how everyone hammers popeye, i did buy it for my 8 yr old, but i have to admit, the light show on the playfield alone gets me in sometimes, and believe it or not, alot of people who come over, go straight for it, rather than the other 20 pins, WORK THAT OUT...
....sometimes, i think its the memories of cartoons when we were kids, BUT I DID HATE POPEYE AS A KID...but for 2 grand in collector condition, it was a easy buy.  *%*

P.S- I guess, anyone with "sailor man" after their name cannot be trusted, in a tent or on a dark boat, thats for sure. lol     *.*

There are so many answers to this question, it just depends on how you interpret the word "series".

These maybe 'themes' more than series but off the top of my head

Comic Book/Cartoon - Spiderman, Superman, Incredile Hulk, Judge Dredd, Popeye, Simpsons, Family Guy, Shrek, Flintstones, Batman........

Horror - Dracula, Bram Stokers Dracula, Frankenstein, Freddy - A Nightmare On Elm Street, Class of 1812, Bonebusters, Monster Bash, Haunted House........

Movies/Books - BSD, Freddy, JD, Frankenstein, LOTR, Flintstones, Batman x 3, Twister, JP x 2, Apollo 13, Dirty Harry, T2, T3........

Space Travel - Space Shuttle, Pioneer (sort of), Apollo 13, Space Odyssey, Attack from Mars, RFM.......

Sport - No Fear, Champion Pub, Blackwater 100, WH2O, Basketball, WWF......

Adventure/Fantasy - Sorcerer, MM, Centaur, Flash, Fireball x 3......

Magic/Circus - CV, TOM, Pinball Magic......

You get the drift anyway, there are so many more that could be added and as you can see, my knowledge of the early machines is very limited.
Addicted to pins.

p-s - popeyes a great game, widebody, colourful, williams, great bang for ya buck...2 x playfields etc...
....iffy about popeye, gee my 8 yr old daughter will come n get ya now.lol  &&

That's the thing about pinball - some people like a title, a whole lot of other people don't...

Well, perhaps it's the fact that anyone who eats green shit out of a tin to get motivated . . . . . ?
In deference, the game's a bit of a hoot even for big kids. :2cents:
