Gotta be happy with that!. Looks unreal.

I'm assuming you're running #47's behind it?. Williams from that era seemed to have a shit load of GI behind the glass compared to other brands.

Brilliant idea that should be the norm for any replacement backglass ^^^

Looks fantastic and well worth the $$ and risk.

just put LEDs behind it, some warm glow or frosted ones would be sweet

I contacted Mayfair and asked them was this one already sealed and they said it is a Williams factory original glass - so it's not sealed ... Did you get your Gorgar through Mayfair as well ..  !@#  . I was thinking about clear coating the back to keep it as new .

The globes in the back are 44's I think ?  !@#

Absolutely Brilliant! Was that your Lucky Seven at Jyebow's meet?

I have ordered by Gorgar and am impatiently waiting now.

Well done!

J.D.

Yeah that was it at the meet J.D.  ( it was the one Jacob was playing for a lot of the night .. lol ) . I used Pack'N'Send to get the glass from Melbourne to Newy . They have a store in Mayfield main street . I picked it up from there .

Was actually thinking how that would look Greg . The zero heat factor from LED's has gotta be a plus .

What's the main difference between 44's and 47's, 455's etc.. !@#  Do the 47's , 455's run cooler ??

Yeah I got mine through Mayfair-its a Williams glass that was reproduced in 1996 by Williams so maybe thats why its sealed..I run #47's behind my BG and #455 behind the game titles..

Thanks

can still hear the chimes :D

Loved the machine. Seemed so closely wedged between SS and EM in design and play too.

Was very good looking before, now looks stunning.

#47s will be a little dimmer but a lot cooler. #455's will be VERY cool as they are only on about 50% of the time. A bonus is they will look awesome with the vegas signage on the BG too.

LEDs will look terrible. Try them if you want.... but I reckon they will be dissapointing. Their white is NOT white like an incandescent - they have peaks of Blue and Yellow light, and stuff all red light - so the reds in the backglass will look muddy.

Same coloured LEDs work very well in coloured PF inserts because the only emit the light that needs to go through the insert (with an incandescent they need to filter every colour BUT the colour they pass). Try a white LED in a red insert though, and you will see what I mean...

Cheers
Jacob
