Well...hard to find without the special 'whitewood' modification in the bonus area %$%

Great game to play back in the day, hence the reason it is hard to find an example in good shape.  Broken shuttle toys and ramp entrances are also common, as are delaminated backglasses.

In summary, in top shape I reckon $1500 is a good price.

cheers
Ian

Space Shuttle is a fun game, I picked mine up about a month ago, Thanks to a posting on the forum. ( thanks EB).
I suppose the novelty hasn't worn off yet, but I love it.
It's got nearly everything that was around back in 1984, 3 Pop bumpers , Slingshots , 2 Kick-out holes , 3-bank drop targets , Timed drop target in front of the ramp which launches Multiball, 7 Standup targets which light shuttle for awards, Rollunder spinner , Multiball (2 ball, 3 ball), Ramps, Right outlane detour gate, Lane change, Up-post between flippers & speech. It also has a bell instead of a knocker , it's fun to watch people having their first game as it usually scares the sh*t out of them when it goes off. Not the sort off sound you expect from a Solid State machine made in 1984.
I agree with Ian , from pics I've seen, alot of playfields are worn to wood around the bonus area ( mine was mylared later on so its not too bad, except for some ballswirl )
The broken shuttle toys & delaminating backglasses ( mine has that ) are common as well.
The Williams Space Shuttle  has a place in the history as well, I've read that it's the game that is credited with saving pinball.
At a time when pinball was dying due to the popularity of video games & most manufacturers were only selling 1000 to 2000 games this title sold 7000 & was very popular, probably why its hard to find one thats not worn down to wood.
It was also the first pinball to have a playfield "Toy", now they all seem to have them.
theres a few good links on the net to check out.

http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2260 It rates fairly well on here.

anyway if the one your'e checking out is in good condition I think it would be a good buy.
cheers Steve.

Great game for it time.Spent many dollars on this machine at the local bowling alley. Was my first buy as just had to have one when i first started getting in to pinball, now have two.
New playfields will happen with CPR eventually and with new plastic for it you cant go wrong.Get some decal to cover the typical wear areas at the top and in front of the flippers. Stencil kit available for cabinet so should be able to do a great restore if you had to.
Will be doing my two eventy as collected a few nos parts for the restore, ramp, plastic, stencials, shuttle and somewear even a sticker kit for the shuttle.Just need to finish what i all ready started.

If it in good condition for that price i would get it but i could be bias

Just need some more pre orders
