Black Rose Part 3
« on: September 08, 2009, 10:25:28 AM »
Well not to far from the finished machine, the only thing that I need to source are the decals. I have a good friend in the printing industry and I think that we could get the decals sorted, as this is a defo keeper machine I can't see a problem in doing a one off decal job to finish off the project.
As the link shows she is looking pretty good, Managed to sort out the problem with the playfield sitting a little lower in the cab by doing nothing at all just by raising the legs at the rear a little it seems to have sorted it.
She has been totally striped and cleaned and has come up better than what I had expected.
Had to cut out a bigger hole for the plunger as the MM cab had a auto fire button but that was easy enough just had to make sure that the cut was spot on. The scariest thing was cutting the translight down to the correct size, I must have measured it about 10 times to make sure it was in the right place, But it turned out to be spot on, Phew!
Hope you enjoy the pic's, I think that there will be mixed opinions on this project, I would love to hear what you think and if you would have done the same thing. But as I have said this machine is a keeper for me, It brings back some great memories from the early nineties and seeing that it was the first ever machine that I owned back in 96 its going to be staying with me for ever.
Does anyone on the group know of any pictures of the 'X' rated artwork that Greg did for this machine? They where aimed at the european market but never saw production, would love to see what they looked like.

Black Rose cab was beyond repair, looked like someone had poured a couple of pints of beer in and left to ferment for a year or two.
The MM cab, I picked this up of ebay a year or so back, Only ended up paying 99p for it so was a bit of a bargain.
5 ships sunk, One of the better games so far. My best ever was 6 on a sited machine in our local pub many years ago. The very machine that got me into buying my first home game, Yes you guessed it a Black Rose back in 96.
Get the gate fixed on your game to keep the ball from popping out of Broadside and it won't belong before you are sinking a few more ships.

99p for an MM cabinet???? Are you serious?

Even the most clapped out cabinet over here would get bids on it.
