IJ coil question.
« on: October 26, 2009, 07:51:28 AM »
Hi all. The coil on the diverter assembly on the right ramp of my IJ is not the correct one. The manual says I should be using FL-11753-1.  I can only find FL-11753 without the -1 at most of the places I look at.  Does anyone know what the -1 at the end stands for? Can I just replace the coil thats there with the FL-11753?  Thanks

cant see a problem with replacing it with a FL-11753. the only thing i can see different between them is the -1 version is the solder on type and the other is a quick connect type that uses a slide on connector. but you can still solder the wires on.
looks like they only carry the version with out the -1 because you can use it for both applications and it saves them stocking 2 items which are nearly the same.
its like the saying goes "kill 2 birds with 1 stone"

before installing it just make sure the diodes are on the same way (they should be)

here is a link for you to check the differences yourself

Thanks Beaky,

I knew that the spade connector coils came with the "1" after the FL but hadn't seen it appear at the end of the part number.  I was thinking it might be something more than the connectors because of the different colored paper?

if you read the specs on both coils it says that they are both supposed to be yellow.
but one is blue and one orange.

as i said i cant see any difference in the specifications

Yeah only because these two coils are not original/factory Williams... These are after market coils...
