Kid's Pinball Party
« on: February 01, 2010, 12:57:01 PM »
Well the date is decided. I am hosting a pinball party for my 10 year old son Jaret and his buddies. No girls allowed of course haha. I'll post some pics after we have it. Hopefully we get a good turn out. If all goes well maybe I'll host one for our friends!

I have a spreadsheet made already. I think I'm going to let them play 5 games on each machine. The highest score for each machine will win a prize. 5 bucks in quarters or something. Then I'll add all their best scores together on each machine to figure out who the grand champ is Might buy a little cheap trophy or something. Hope all the pins hold up haha.

good idea. the more kids, and the more parents of kids who hear about pinball the better.

i have had so many parents knock on my door and say " my kids told me you have pinball machines, can i have a look, how much are they, where can i get one from " etc etc.

so i reckon the more kids who play them and like them, the more the parents will want to buy one for their house. This is what will keep the worlds greatest hobby alive. long live pinball.

well done. cant wait to see the photos.  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

When we have birthday parties (or any other event, really) we usually turn on the machines and let everyone loose on them. Kids and parents enjoy them.

Had some uni guys around just before Christmas and they thought it was pretty cool.

Have the same thing in a weeks time for my step sons 14th...... need to fine tune a few pins before the actual event.
Most of these kids have never played a pin, ive only got woodrails and 60's EMs... but ya know what??
 They absolutely LOVE THEM!!!!

Had a kids pinball party last year  ^&^ ,   just one word of advise,   don't leave the keys in the coin door,  make sure they are well hidden.

Heh, we have a family staying with us while their house is built and they have a two year old - same advice applies!

Well the pinball tourney was a smashing success. The kids had a blast and none of the machines broke down (phew :P) They played 5 games on each machine. There was a winner for the high score on each machine (5bucks) and an overall winner (a wii game) My son got the high score on WCS94, HS2, and TAF and was the overall winner. But we decided to give all the prizes to the kids who finished 2nd to him.

Check out some pics/videos/scores here:

GREAT to see the kids so enthusiastic about Pinball. With some of those haircuts, it looks like a retro pic from the 70s  %.%

Kinda ironic that the winner's prize was a Wii game - Hope it was "Gottlieb Classics" or something like that !

Thanks for sharing - So good to see kids enjoying themselves.
