STRIKES AND SPARES QUESTIONS???????

Well i have a few queries for you guys. 

When strikes and spare was new were the Rollover targets red?   Ive purchased new one from pbr and there bright red will look great but would they have been that red originally?


When i do the touchups on the playfield should i go the whole hog and give it a 2k clearcoat?  Some of the inserts have sunken and warped  so im thinking the clearcoat will fill these slight dimples once ive reseated them.

If i do clear coat will i have to leave out the rollovers then sand the holes back so they will fit again?

Have a look on the IPDB  http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2406 - there are two playfields and both have orange rollovers.  You have a choice when clearcoating of going over the inserts then cleaning them up (this is the CPR approach) or leaving them out and putting them in after the clear coat (that is the approach I have taken).  Clear coating will cover some playfield imperfections, but much will depend on the product and method used.
