What a concept!
« on: January 15, 2010, 10:33:26 PM »
Here is a machine that manages to combine pinball with the 3D effect of an old EM shooting game utilising the angled mirror principle.
It's kinda like Pinball 2000 de jour.
I'd actually thought of drafting up a design for such a thing - then discovered it had already been done!
Given the SPACE and the doubtful chance to find one of these contraptions, It'd be a fantastic project.

Who'll be the first of you pin-nuts to identify it?

Special KUDOS award will be posted to the winner  :lol

It's a Genco Flying Aces - given their rarity (4 found so far) is is suspected they were only ever a prototype.

Interesting article on them here: http://www.pingamejournal.com/articles/makehtma.php?file=article1%20(1).txt

It wasn't that hard as the second photo shows the title quite clearly!

You must have better than 20/20 vision "seeing" you found that legible.
Here are some a clearer pics I've now found.
My next trick is to track down Mr Lucas who is/was here in Perth! (W.A. Not the auld country) who you would know actually owns/owned one - from the PJ article you posted.
Don't know if I'll ever attempt to create a real machine along these lines, but it has got the old mental gears spinning.
You never know with pinaddicts.

It does look like a very interesting concept!

Would be fantastic to play one and see if it lives up to expectations.
