Toppers
« on: February 21, 2010, 09:18:59 PM »
Hey guys,

Been working on a few toppers for my older ss collection. I have a mate who has a really talented father who is extremely talented with fret work.

I made him some stencils to cut from and he has cut them out for me.

What it is is basically 3 mm mdf which has been cut by hand from a stencil. Need some serious patience and a steady hand for this work...

I glued the lettering to 3 mm perspex and made a little stand. The stand is a piece of pine with a routed slot in the middle and was quickly sprayed, for the time being. Colour looks yellow but it actually is an undercoat... the final colour will be similar to the cabinet.

The last pic will be my next project !  &&

Any interest in this i can pass onto the extremely talented guy and see if he is interested in cutting for others..

I reckon bloody great. Very nice indeed.

Why not do one for -

Bally, Williams, Sega, Stern, Data East, Gottlieb, etc.

Do them exactly like you have done them with the correct company logo colours etc etc etc.

Make up a set for your games room. Put them on a wall or whatever. Why not. They look great !
