may bee its because the licence has run out on potc & stern are not making any more. The shop in the us must have some of the last nib pirates available
with the recent run of lotr there is sure to be more on the market right now so more compertition between the dealers (price will rise over time)
Both are great games !

I think POTC is underated with the amount of effort gone in this great game

Excellent cabinet & playfield art

Magnificent toys - spinning wheel, chest and sinking ship

Great game overall- Gets played the most out of 7 pinnies in my collection from visitors

As mentioned production has ceased therefore HUO games will retain strong resale prices.

Yeah, would love to have the cash to sink into a POTC - and a LOTR LE wouldn't be bad either!!

I like both these titles, BUT if I had to choose 1 it would be POTC, this pin has very cool toys inc the sink ship feature
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

POTC was a real let down for me.  I bought it brand new with alot of expectation only to find that the game plays so slow I could nearly fall asleep playing it.  Perhaps I should raise the pitch a bit more ?

Yeah, try raising the pitch. When I played it I don't remember 'slow' as a word I would use.

The modern Sterns (at least POTC and LOTR), as far as I can tell, are designed to keep the ball in play for a fairly lengthy period of time, so if you are playing with a mate, you will have time to go to the toilet, make yourself a drink and a quick snack, and still get back before your turn.
