Pin2000 common faults
« on: November 21, 2010, 04:15:44 PM »
I am thinking of buying a Pin200, probably a SWEP1
Any suggestions on the common (and costly) faults to look out for?

Unless your interested in that game as a SW fan, you might want to consider RFM - altogether a better, more complete game IMO.

I think the issues revolve mostly around the computer (unobtainable parts) and monitor - all solved with Nucore of course.

I just purchased a Revenge from Mars from mark C.  I bought the machine unshopped.

All I had to do, was change 3 x lightbulbs, add 2 x new slingshot rubbers, give it a clean and away it went. Everything else worked perfectly.

I did have to change the CPU fan which sits on the heatsink on the computers main board. It cost me $20 from Jaycar to replace, took 1 minute to change it over.

The pin2000 setup , with its self diagnostic visual servicing, showing everything you ever need to know on the 19inch crt monitor, is a really esy tool to do a start up service fault check.

I believe Mark C has several really good RFM's in stock, as well as a few Star Wars Episode 1 models as well.

check this video out, the Star Wars is also a dam fine machine, n lots of fun.

and this revenge video showing how computer works etc, its also a great watch
