Interesting title that seldom changed hands for less than $1800. With the "buyer's market", they could sell for around $1000.

Excellent condition would be worth $2200. Market price would be $1000 - $1300.

I don't think there is any rules against cash on pickup on eBay (AFAIK)..

Unfortunately due to many dishonest people collecting items (in person), paying by paypal only to return home with item in hand then file a dispute claiming item not sent (theft, obtain financial advantage by deception etc)...

I will ONLY accept cash on pickup....If its interstate, we have most corners covered with members on here, so cash to them, cash to seller should be an easy fix.

Yep I hear what you are saying.

eBay forces you to list Paypal as an option but does not mean you have to accept it. I clearly state in my auctions that the item is local Pickup only. I always get interstate bidders but I just delete their bids.  I am happy to miss a sale to avoid having to take time of work to wait around for a courier.

I see first hand on a daily basis the amount of rip offs or frauds done via paypal. Cash in hand is the only way with a pin.

Maybe try to see if they will accept bank dep.

Dear studley67,

Then maybe in the future you dont lie and say you are in Adelaide, then request we take something off line if you have no desire to work out how to pick the bloody thing up.... I think you are just a trouble maker and a time waster and i find your actions very rude... Thankfully we gave the incorrect address untill we knew for sure you where serious.
And i have made a report of your actions to eBay.
Regards
Melissa

Correct Damien.

Was not listed on eBay either, hence Paypal not being an option.

You may have noticed I still only offer machines for local pickup only, but now if I get asked from someone interstate it's a polite no.

If they arrange someone to come and inspect the machine and collect then this may be looked at.

As a seller of an item you have the right to set terms of that sale.

Ebay is a law unto itself.
Sellers have no rights only buyers.
I have accepted Paypal for interstate buyers, if only to get the transaction over with quickly, there is a risk though they could put in a dispute and rip you off (and Paypal take their cut of the money).
One dude picking up something from me and wanted to pay Paypal in his IPhone when he picked it up - WTF?
I managed to convince him to pay in cash but I was lucky he didn't dig his heels on as Ebay would have supported him to use Paypal (why wouldn't they, they own Paypal and get more fees).
Remember only buyers can leave negative feedback, even if the sale doesn't go through.
