I am looking to replace some of the more worn out parts of the playfield on my games (posts, rubbers, etc). For the Bally SS machines I have (1976-1980), I am trying work out the correct (ie. as original as possible) type of postcap to use.
Having a quick look at the PBR website, the following image of postcaps is available.
My earlier versions of SS (1976-1978) have the "BLY-Postcap" type, and my two 1980s SS have the RIN-PC type. Did the rubber type of postcap (RIN-PC) exist when these games came out? Do most people just go for the RIN-PC to minimise the possibility of plastic breakage?
Thanks in advance.
