Love the colours and the thought of this theme. I really look forward to seeing it live and having a game. It would have to be better than the rolling stones by 1000%
Still loving my Metallica Premium

iT NEEDS SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL, LIKE GLOW IN THE DARK PLAYFIELD OR BALLS OR TRANSLITE, or, just get rid of it altogether.. %.% %.% %.%

QUESTION -
Will STERN ever make a WIDEBODY pinball machine ?

and if so, what would it be ?  a widebody, done properly, might just add up to BIG sales. I think TRON will be slow to sell, if not impossible. Who runs the STERN design and marketing, they need new blood i think.

Unfortunately Stern do seem to be producing cookie cutter machines at the moment.

Maybe that's how they have to do it at the moment to survive?

below is Sterns press release ( and I'm told there will be a LE version)

Hi Everyone,

Just letting you the next Pinball Machine will be TRON which is scheduled to
be released at the end of May.  Listed below is the letter from Gary Stern
outlining the game.

Attached hereto is a picture of the TRON:  Legacy pinball machine.  This
picture does not do justice to this gorgeous game, which captures the theme
of the movie art perfectly.  You can't see the depth of the 3D backglass in
this two dimensional photo.

I am attaching a separate photo of the TRON playfield and will point out a
few of the many mechanical features.

The Illuminated Motorized Spinning Disc in the center back of the playfield
is protected by the Motorized Bank of 3 Yellow Targets, that retracts into
the playfield.  The Spinning Disc shoots the ball randomly across and around
the playfield.

The 3rd Flipper is at the left, half way up the playfield.  It shoots
beautifully into the one of the two smooth Plastic Ramps.  This Flipper is
fed by many shots, including an orbit shot, a small loop shot, a skill entry
shot.

The miniature TRON video game is mounted above the Scoop near the right
side, about half way up the playfield.  Shooting into the Scoop starts
exciting features and collects big points.

In addition to the Motorized Target Bank, this game has 4 TRON targets on
the left, 2 Spinning Targets, numerous other Targets, and of course 3 Pop
Bumpers to the right side.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, playing this game is worth a million
words.

I know you, your customers and their players will love playing TRON.

Best regards

Gary
