Anyone own a working gottlieb Monte Carlo?
« on: May 09, 2011, 05:20:49 PM »
Hi guys finally received my new boards for Monte Carlo.   Game is now running just have a few queries.

Should this game have background noise?

At power on should any coils pulse?

What would cause pothole kicker kick then stay up with half power?  (brand new CPU and driver board) kicker drops when powered down so I'm assuming it's not magnetized

Hi Daniel,

Dont have a Monte Carlo, but I assume it would have background sound as most late System 80 machines did.  At power on System 80b normally reset target banks etc.

Re the pothole kicker, are you sure its not getting power from a short somewhere else (in wiring etc)

Thanks dean.
I thought it should have some kind of background noise.

As for the pothole kicker i have not had time to dig around but as it only activates and stays latched after it fired was worries it's a board fault?  Hopefully get some time tomorrow to nut it out.

Also another question the roulette wheel motor doesn't spin it hums when activated but won't spin.   The gear box isn't seized is there anneasy way to test a motor without removing the whole assembly?
