Hi Rob,

System 80's can be a challenge and not too many people out there are experts in them!

Things like ground modifications are essential (easy to do).  If your CPU board(s) do not have battery damage then you're off to a good start.

On ANY System 80 I work on, I always insist on the customer purchasing new power to MPU & CPU to MPU connector harnesses

http://www.bigdaddy-enterprises.com/  (is under the Sys1 / Sys80 harnesses link)

Next - the cap's in the lower cabinet.  Are they orange?  If so these will also need to be upgraded.

$.$ Rob and  %)% to Aussie Pinball !

Glad you finally made it. You have some serious reading to do. I'd start here

http://users.esc.net.au/~boots/Pinball_Guides/default.html

As Marty suggested, System 80's (Haunted House) are not easy, but if you can do one, you can do any System 80 (except Caveman). I'll be restoring mine later this year.

Gday Rob and  %)%

Lots of great advice round here.

There have been a few Haunted Houses restored on here, reading about those will certainly steer you in the right direction.

Cheers

Welcome Rob. As emailed, I did one of these and more than happy to help from afar.

Can you fill us in on the current condition of the machines?
