FIREPOWER

Hey Guys & Girls
What do you all think of this one I heard this title is a great player wouldn't mind having a crack at it myself if I was confident that it would be reliable but how can you tell that with any pinball I guess. Not sure about the home made back glass either.

Firepower is a great game.  No doubt about that.

That era of WMS machines were not too bad as far as reliability goes, but the issues with the interconnect pins for CPU / Driver board will never be 100% reliable.

I don't know whether the video is of the actual machine, as it appears to have the correct backglass.

Big headaches with shipping a backglass from the US and not cheap.

My concerns that why would you not finish stenciling the cab, repairing the targets properly etc???

$1000 for a project FP and chances are that the BG that on it is not in transluscent paint... itll be black as night when machine on.
it is a good game... but jeez, you could do a lot better for a grand

Williams actually did one themselves, I think in the early nineties. The colours were off a bit, and the glass was thinner - makes you wonder!! I did look at getting one myself, but the cost and the result were not worth it.

I agree, $1,000 should be too much for this game. On the other hand, $1,000 for a playable FP is not that common either, so despite its problems, maybe a cheap way to play the best of the early eighties games IMO.
