« on: March 03, 2009, 10:20:10 PM »
Does anyone know of local suppliers etc of pinball DVD's. I'm interested in TILT in particular as I'm told its quite interesting, but also restoration type ones as well

All replies appreciated

I have not seen anyone locally supplying it (Tilt), but I'm surprised as I thought there would have been quite a demand down here.

I enjoyed watching it - as well as King of Kong but that makes my other half angry (she gets frustrated watching it ie B. Mitchell)...

As fair as repair videos - DarkSoul from AA was doing some of his own and I think PinRepair.com is the only other place....

I know Marco's has the Tilt dvd.

Are you talking about 'Tilt' the Movie with a very young Brooke Sheilds?

I remember seeing this at the Movies when a kid.  Loved it because it was about Pinball.  Brooke was a Wizard and travelled around going in comps gambelling for money from memory.  Long time ago thou...

It probably appealed back then due to the theme, but boy, it's pretty bad when you watch it today! Lots of pins though, so not that bad - just watch it with the volume off!

I think you want to see "This Old Pinball" series of DVDs. I don't think anyone has them locally. You can get them directly from the Marvin site ;

http://marvin3m.com/top/

Some Parts sellers have them in the USA as well.

Thanks Nino. I just wanted to avoid double, triple US postal costs if they were available locally. I'll probably get Tilt first off if you recommend its a good view.

These DVDs are excellent, just pick out the ones relevevant to what you are interested in and order.  I have TOP 3, 4 & 7 and can recommend them all.

I also have TILT and recommend you buy it also, get the 2 disc version as it has about 7 hours of extra footage, interviews, vids of pins etc.  you can buy it from here:  http://www.tilt-movie.com/

There is also Life after Death 1,2 and 3 DVD which may be purchased through www.popbumper.com, Rob is a very nice guy and takes time to send lenghy emails.

Life after Death 3 is the more Professionall with great insight into Bing Bang Bar and has some other Interesting Doco's.

There is another guy who calls himself Pingeek at www.pingeek.com who sells some DVD about the various shows around America. That's also Intesesting..
