Judge Dredd Ebay Wreck???
« on: September 16, 2011, 11:11:20 PM »
Gee I know this is not a bad machine to play but $255 already, come on!
This machine seems to have quite a bit more than a few boards missing and bidders are bidding hard.
If this machine was in the USA the seller would struggle to get $50 for it.
It does continue to amaze me how much these basket case "wreck pinball machines" go for.

Widebody pins make an ideal PinMAME cab for a 42-46" inch TV for those who don't have the time to build a cab from scratch.

With the price of large screen TVs dropping so much over the last few months it seems a lot of people are taking up the Hyperpin challenge.  #@#

I still remember Trading Post classified print ads from 1999 advertising working Judge Dredds for $300-$400 and struggling to find buyers.... &^&

has anyone on here made a 42inch pinmame cabinet set up for pinball using a old cabinet plus a 42inch tv etc. ?

Is it boring or something worthwhile. Definately a low maintainence option. Nothing to fix or replace etc. How do you invert the picture to go up n down the TV correctly or does the software just do it ?
I would love to see one if someone has made one ?  ^^^ Any photos etc.  !@#

Check out this, the site has ceased in activity but for some reason still up for reading, it is a good read for a pinmame project. Clever guy.

There is a guy over on the hyperspin forums who I regard as "the master" of hyperpin cabs. He uses a decased 46inch playfield screen/30 inch backbox screen and 15.6 inch as a DMD screen. He has also added a shaker motor/custom flashing LED on top of the backbox/a custom internal motor to replicate original pinball sounds such as the IJ path of adventure,MM drawbridge, funhouse rudy motor, coin slot sounds etc/added tilt bobs and mercury switches for a nudging effect/and also connected an original functional pinball knocker.

Video:

You can read about the build here:

and his latest in progress build with custom made 'Big Bang Pin' cabinet artwork here:

Ended up at $500
The Star Wars only went for $220.
Why the big price difference?
