Le lagon is great ,was there this time last year .The resort is good ,units are being refurb slowly(island time) which area of the resort are you staying in ?try to get a refurb one ,we moved unit after the first day staying the remaining holiday at the front(facing the lagoon looking at erakor island) by paying a little extra ? taxi drivers working from the resort are sharfters they are in it together with the porters I reckon .Take a cab to port villa (4 min)is about $5 ,and from the resort to Hide away Island and to the waters falls they charge $45-$60 ,by comparision catch a cab from port villas it will cost you about $20 ,I teed up a cabbie from the port villa to pick us up the next day a 10am for a trip ,wow when he drove into the resort I thought there was going to be a riot with all cabbies stationed at the resort ,they are very protective of there area ,on the way back to resort in the avo he wasn't allowed to enter the resort and drop us off ,he was a top cabbie to ,new car and an a/c that worked. So I reckon catch a cab to port villa , once there cut a deal with a cabbie .
