Gottlieb Cleaopatra System 1

Hi,

I posted my problem a while back but still haven't been able to resolve the issue. So I post it again in order to gain some more help?

I accidentally and stupidly unplugged the System 1 MPU whilst the power was still on and the machine was left like that for quite a while. When I returned to the machine later on, the pinball was smoking bad from inside the cabinet. It appeared to me at the time that the line filter was burning or is now burnt. I know its not the Power Supply board as I have checked the Power Supply unit on another machine and it works. It appears to me that the the small on board transformer looks ok but I cannot be certain, but the Line Filter does look like the device which burnt like a fuse!!!!

Any help in repairing my machine be helpful?

Does anyone know if the on board transformers will be ok? And if the Line Filter will be ok? Or are they likely to be damaged too? Where I can buy a Line Filter? Or if anyone is interested in repairing this for me I'd be interested in you doing it and of course I would pay you. My location is Bondi junction, Sydney.

Otherwise, as I may also be capable of repairing it myself with any helpful advice on what is likely damged or what I need to do to repair it.

Thanks

Would need to look at the machine to troubleshoot.
So happy reading and good luck with it.  Expensive mistake unless you can do the repair yourself.

Makes sure that whilst you are at it, to do all the mods if they haven't already been done.

If your cpu board is original you might need one of these.

Line filters are available at Jaycar, but I would strongly advise that you take this machine to a local repairer. You are looking at problem with line filters and transformers, which need an experienced hand to look at.
