« on: January 03, 2012, 09:01:37 PM »
Been on the lookout for another pin and one on my short list has been listed on ebay today. What are your thoughts on Centaur, would need to see some better pics from the add,but this is a machine i do like.I do not know how to put up the link from ebay so some else might want to do it please. What is the price rang for this title ?.The add says it has a reverbished card ?,is this a sound card/board ?.Do any members live in the LAKE Macquarie area ? that maybe could have a look for me.Thanks.

Keep the hunt going - Centaur is worth the wait!

Yes DD, Centaur is a better game in the long run than Elektra, so make the switch if you can *%*

Even with the dodgy pics, the one on Ebay looks OK - the reverb card gives the echo on the voice.

Centaur is an excellent machine. Theme is a bit dark for kids (that's why I don't have one in the collection currently). Sits in well with Xenon, Eight Ball Deluxe, Fathom, Medusa and Viking. Years ago, one sold for $5000 on eBay - I actually went to see the game. Straight after this, every dealers that had one in stock, no matter how trashed, listed them at $5000 ! I watched this title for years and a really nice one slipped through my fingers for $1800. Worth $2000 in today's market. Slipped from $2500 - $3200 18 months ago.

Great player that seldom changes hands, but pinheads know their value, so they expect good money on resale.

Typically, they have a lot of wear around the top ball arch area. This is the first place I look - and the boards must be working for this game - especially the Squark and Talk board.
