Bally 6MDM
« on: February 17, 2012, 10:28:54 PM »
I am looking possibly of owning one of these one day, but I must admit I was a bit surprised at what this one went for.  I would have guessed that 6MDMs were worth somewhere in the $1,500 - $2,000 mark.  $2,850 seems like a hefty price for this pin.  Opinions?

Anything can happen when you get low feedback bidders bidding.
It hasn't sold yet really, just wait and see if it gets relisted due to a non-paying bidder.

Not worth that price. $1500 - $1800 tops in today's market. Don't like the red legs !

Just goes to show that a pin (or anything for that matter) is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it  *%*

This one looked good, but didnt look to be worth what was paid, but then again maybe it was a holy grail title for the buyer?
6mdm is a great old game, better, more challenging player than Kiss.

My own 6mdm is absolutely a keeper.. it aint goin' NOWHERE  *.* *.* *.* I paid $100 for mine (not working) about 20 yrs ago, pf had minimal wear and a PERFECT backglass!

btw i agree with Nino the red legs looked YUCK!!

Was that the one with the worn PF?... I saw it sitting at just over $1000 for a few days and it seemed pretty clear that this was going to fetch above what id consider its value to be.... you can pick up very good Capt F's for $2500... when market was good, you could squeeze a private sale to $3000+

It looked like to me a mylar removal gone wrong

I have a repro playfield, if the game had gone for a bit less, it would have been perfect
(another project game that I will never have time to do  @.@ )

I saw this machine in person.  The 6MDM was brought in from the states.  The playfield had some touch-ups just above the flipper area.  It did look like a nice machine but that title probably was not worth those $.  I also saw the Globe Trotters that was also for sale at the same time by the same person.  It was in really really great shape and the backglass was near mint
