Some amazing Generous people out there
« on: May 08, 2012, 11:03:17 PM »
Some of you may read this and think so, or it's not relevant to us but I was taken back by the generosity of some people.

This is a pinside forum story but still one worth sharing and remind us to thank those around us.

One of the main site designers / organisers of Pinside does a lot of work to keep there site fresh for many to enjoy in many various ways from a forum site to a top 100 pins, reviews, ebay sales listing etc. A member put up a post and said why don't they rally together and get 325 members to donate $20 each and then send a pin from the USA to Robin in the Netherlands - a brand new Transformers.

There is hope out there that there are some kind, considerate and generous people out there.

This is not to say there are many generous people here on this site with many people offering free parts, many hundreds of hours providing help as well as a gathering place for all of us to visit on a very regular basis. So a big thanks to Nino and Nick to aiding in providing us with this site as well as many others that provide gifts, advice, tips, laughs and stories.

^^^ thumbs up to all the generous people hear on AP and THANKS.

Swinksy, I am confused.
I was expecting to see a kid in a wheelchair getting a pinball machine but that guy is rich enough to own his own large truck and business.
Am i missing something ?  is there a typed story behind it where he then passes the pinball machine on to someone in need ?
Couldnt he have bought his own. Confused ?
Behind every garage door could be a pinball collectors

As someone who designs and maintains websites it is very time consuming so even though that guy in the Netherlands may have te money to buy his own pins nice to see people showing their appreciation of the time he has invested to bring about such a great site. As someone who only just a few weeks ago started checking out the world of pinball I've found pinside an extremely useful resource.
