Found old style arcade in New Hampshire (USA)
« on: September 29, 2012, 01:19:09 PM »
Found this interesting, stumbled across a pinball/video game shop.
Talking to the owner its a hobby gone wrong kind of  thing, has over 100 pinballs and a similar number of arcade games all under one roof.
Shop is a little dark for my liking but interesting to see a thriving business in this day and age.
Probably helps that the location is next to a local cinema complex, but otherwise it is not an overly busy location. Makes a living OK and keeps the machines in better than average condition, aside from the odd weak flipper (IMHO) all the machines were in good nick.
Hopefully the pics will come through  OK as I said it was a little  dark.
Cheers,
Lets go Brandon!

This is just how the parlours on George St. Sydney looked like back in the 70's and early 80's. They were also dark and smokey but had a lot more people. I remember about 6 parlours of this size and a number of smaller ones. New releases often had 4-6 of the same title due to popularity and were played 24/7. Ah, the good old days of the Golden pinball era.

Thanks for the photos and memories.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,
