Almost a year ago me and the missus bought our first pinball, we knew nothing about pinball machines, we searched around around for a forum on google, and found AP. we figured owning a pinball would need a network of people who knew about pinball and where to source parts from.
well we have bought a tonne of parts from members here and even have a pinball technician working on our machines we found here, and even had people send us free stuff from here when i offered to pay for something the member refused to give bank details to take my money, lol. not expected but nice none the less. all these things we would have had allot of trouble sourcing. also the advice on fixing issues from members is very helpful. it would have been allot harder of a hobby for us to navigate into with out the help from here. people were happy to put up with some of my stupid noob questions, but still replied and helped out. Now we have just bought our 6th pinball and we bought this wanting to take on a playfield repair inspired by the endless threads of members doing awesome jobs with repairing playfield wear. We have a had member offer advice over email and pm in regards to tips on fixing playfield. the missus and I now have confidence in doing this sort of thing now. still along way to go before we can call our selves experts lol we are still noobs but we are more informed now, and have more confidence in doing bigger things.
so expect plenty of more stupid noob questions from us. but i'd like to thank every one who has helped us out, you all know who you are, if it was just one or two people i would list the names but there is to many people to list. also thanks to those who made great inspiring resto threads.

The forum is such a great resource, I have learned all I know from here and RGP etc, and everywhere there are such helpful and generous people, it make you want to join in that karma any chance you get.

Keep on flippin' and as the forum has no rules on the subject, paragraphs are entirely optional!!

you can try but i'm dyslexic, would be worse if i didn't have spell check, and even that doesn't help completely.
i cant read back through what i have written if the missus isn't here. lol often you may multiple edits under my posts from trying my best to fix it up, lol
long paragraphs i need my missus to read for me because i cant read long posts. so when i write  a long post im screwed, i have allot of trouble editing, problem also is i forget what i just read. lol ahaha, because things look jumbled to me i have to put so much brain poer into trying to read it correctly i get tired quickly and after long posts i end up forgetting what i just read. same goes with writing, trust me i practice as hard as i can to write correctly
i often write words or sentences more than once also.
half the reason i like forums is because posts aren't as long as big write up guides in howto books or webpages, i can read with breaks and forums are the best.
so apologizes for my bad spelling and grammar lol,

Paragraphs or no paragraphs - I understood the message  It represents EVERY reason we started Aussie Pinball and every time I read someone has benefited from the years of knowledge and free advice on this forum - it makes it all worth it.

The ENTIRE reason the community works so well is because we promote the preservation of pinball, and the people involved in the hobby are just as important as the machines we rely on for so much pleasure. Fantastic thread
