Hyper Olympics

Anyone have one or remember this arcade game? it was one of my favorites my hand was so tired after making the dude run and so on, there was one sited in Eltham/Melbourne where I grew up and between crazy climber-Hyper Olympics-SI and pacman I spent a fortune out of my paper boy run thank god the RSL guys tipped well

Yes, I had this on the old Atari! Even broke one of the joy sticks wiggling it back and forth to get the little bloke to run. I didn't ever see it in the local arcade though.

I think I have 4 or 5 of these boards in storage. Besides the trackball games, these were a strange configuration. Three buttons each. They were a big earner back in the day, and I remember the kids would use the sleeve of their school jumpers during the 100m Sprint and rub it left and right across the buttons. It was easier than using your fingers.

Not a special cab - just a special control panel. No joystick. The monitor has to be in a horizontal configuration.

I remember seeing lots of guys using a cigarette lighter to rub the buttons.

I spent hours and hours playing Hyper Olympics down the Peninsula. Probably my favorite arcade game ever. I still hear the attract mode sounds over PolePosition in the arcade.

I also had Decathalon on the Atari. Was designed to kill joysticks

Yeah it's up there as one of my favorite arcades Marty with Phoenix and crazy climber all I need is hyper Olympics and I'm set -:)

I remember Hyper Olympics in the arcades back in the day. Great game and one of my favs for sure.
I would use a lighter or a keycard on the run button in the 100 dash to get world records.
