LOL- bull**it listing
« on: May 18, 2012, 11:50:51 PM »
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SUPER-STAR-PINBALL-MACHINE-MUSIC-BAND-THEMED-GAME-OVERHAULED-100-WORKING-/230793017766?pt=AU_CoinOp&hash=item35bc55f9a6

Now read the listing description and get to this bit..

Every switch has been dismantled, polished, re- assembled and adjusted

What a crock of crap... basic rule of any EM is that if the switch works, you never dismantle it... some 1000+ switch leafs on an EM.. you pulled them all out, polished abd reassembled??

Dear oh dear oh dear....

"Machine cleaned polished and waxed using the same procedure we always use when refurbishing a pinball game.. .. .."

Do these guys go to the same training session on how to write Ebay pinball ads?
“If you wanna escape, go up to a pinball machine. There’s a magic button on the front that takes you to a world under the glass and makes the the rest of the universe disappear.”

Wow this rebuild must ave taken years even just to clean the contacts with a business card takes long enough let alone unsoldering and separating every contact to polish them

LOL....just found this thread

I won this...it was pricey but I was stoked to get the title

b/g is rough but p/f is really nice.

very clean inside all coils resleeved all steppers clean and free

only problems i had was a score reel coming adrift due to loose screws, which displaced a switch and stalled the start sequence
otherwise a faultless daily player

Mick, the guy who sold it was so distraught when it packed up on the first day and was trying to arrange a tech to travel from newcastle to the mid north coast to fix it at his expense and spent at least a couple of hours over the phone trying to remedy it. luckily Mitch came to the party (and sold me 2 more e/ms!)

So yeah, the write up was a bit dubious but in the end i scored a really well set up pin that plays like new.

You practically have to lever Mitch off the thing when he comes visiting.

Looking forward to fitting a chimebox so I can hear that 20,000 bonus ring out when you get it in the hole
