What would one be looking at if I got a so so unit and what is the kiss of death when looking for a pin to just walk away

There really isnt a kiss of death... anything can be restored so long as the time is put into it and of course the $$'s.
The main issue is a non existant backglass... if a repro cant be sought and artwork not found then it will always be a non existant backglass until the situation is resolved
