Funhouse - Rudy's eyes wont stay shut.
« on: November 10, 2012, 09:59:08 PM »
Hi,

I was after some advice from anyone with a Funhouse who has had issues with Rudy's eye's not staying shut. Originally the plastic eyepiece was snapped off inside the metal tube. I replaced the plastic eye piece but now it keeps popping out of the metal tube and his eyes remain open. Perhaps Rudy just likes to keep his eye's on what's going on  :D
I have a few replacement eye plastics that I have tried and they all pop out. I have put some loctite on the plastic but this didn't work...I don't really want to glue it but what do you think? The metal tube is not damaged at all.

Thanks  !@#

May be a dumb question but you are using nyliners on the ends see manual item 30 of Rudy breakdown? Sometimes these break and go missing
Still loving my Metallica Premium

Unsure if it will help - but I did a page on my Rudy eye issues a while back - there are links there that may add info for you as well - see Toms eyelid page and read it through, you may find some help there....

Thanks very much for your help, I'll check that article and whether or not I have the part on the base of the coil.

Yes, the Nyliner's are intact, everything is, except the plunger extension plastic keeps popping out of the metal sleeve meaning Rudy's eyes remain open. Can I glue the extension plastic so that it remains in the sleeve?

There's also an issue with the lights on the lower playfield. Sometimes the lights on the lanes and on the kickers decide not to come on at the start of the game. All the bulbs are fine...any ideas?
