shaker motor in a Tommy ???
« on: August 30, 2012, 10:01:35 PM »
Hi guys
A customer of mine would like to put a shaker motor in a DE tommy, there is a board for a shaker motor in the Tommy but no screw holes. There is no shaker motor test and when you go into coil test the solenoid that activates the shaker motor says "NOT USED" on the display.

Was it only installed in the European versions and only enabled in the euro Roms? (It has the USA rom installed)

if any one has a tommy with a working shaker motor please let me know which rom they have.

 ^&^

Andy, there is a guy on pinside who has modded a Stern shaker to work in Dr Who and posted a thread about it.
Maybe they can be modded to fit into any game?

cheers mate,
from what i have been told it is activated when the propellers on the plane spin so it would be quite easy to mod.  &&
it's just strange that the shaker motor pcb board is there and connected to the loom but there is no shaker motor or screw holes  !@#

Hi
I just installed and connected my production Tommy Shaker. It shakes when the plane is flying (props turning)

Shaker was installed on the prototypes only. A friend has one of those prototypes. The production Tommy is wired and should have REV  A shaker board installed. Software programming not configured from MPU to Driver board.  Also the blinders jam when opening and closing causing the motor screw gears to strip. I installed a sort of diving board under the blinders to stop it from hitting the apron and the coil shooter guides.
