BNIB Arrival today - Photos etc
« on: February 18, 2013, 04:56:00 PM »
I had a BNIB delivery today of my new Stern X Men Pro.

I am not heavily into cartoons but the kids love shows like X men, are because the X Men Pro played so well when i flew down and saw the guys at AMD last, I decided back in November to order one thru AMD/Bruce and pay it off this last 3 months and make it a machine that the kids will look after and treasure for the many years to come. I just have to fit the shaker motor and I am away.

The machine is perfect, damage free, everything works well, and the machine came looking 1 million dollars. The quality control and the way Stern pack new machines is excellent. This was packed even better than the AC/DC Pro, and I can see some factory improvements with the cabinet design already, espescially where the legs bolt on with the metal plates now being present. An Avengers Pro will be next after AMD get more stock in.

A big thankyou to Bruce and Michael and all the team at AMD for their usual excellent service. A few photos below.

Thanks Andy(Rottyguy) Thanks Pete(Gorgar) and Swinksy(Jady)
I have tested the game by hand by pressing switches etc etc, but not one real game played as yet.
I wont be playing it til i fit the shaker motor which i will do after dinner tonight.
I did promise Beaky(Andy) a few months ago he could have first game on X men. I will get more satisfaction seeing someone else having the first game so I want him to have the special first game etc, just like I did with him on AC/DC Pro etc, and i will do the same for Avengers down the track.
Its sounds crazy, but i am super tired today and dont even feel like playing, although i know i shld be excited. Maybe it will come later after a nap.lol and i get rid of this dam headache.lol     thanks guys !

Nice to see your kids can play with the real thing. Nothing beats a pinball machine. Have fun and enjoy.

Congrats Brett on your new NIB purchase. $#$
Another plus for TNT Logistics for delivering goods unscathed, especially a unit that's overhanging on a skid.

Enjoy Xmen.

I wanted to add another photo of my 3 yr old son Hunter.

He climbed up on the freezer and climbed ontop of X men to see what was in the box. He sat on the coindoor for the photo with his little legs hanging down inside.
After we got the machine out, he was more interested in playing in the empty box. Go figure. You spend all that money and he wants to keep the empty box and throw the machine away.lol   %.%

Anyway, another photo to add. Kids make u feel the best always.

It does have factory Leds thru apx 40 percent of everything. Previous ones only had 3 or 4 but this has got quite a few.
I know Stern were adding more n more to the newer and 2nd and 3rd production runs of some machines to up the anti against JJP.
It wont be long til Pros probably come with mostly Leds n colour changing Leds as well.

Wait til u guys see the idea I have for a topper !  *%* Lights n flashers n alot of other goodies. Almost finished my custom AC/DC one as well.
Stay tuned.

Congratulations Cavey I'm jealous! X-men is a great game. I've been fortunate to have played a few games on both the LE and the Pro. Both are excellent and really look the goods when you see them in the flesh. I'm sure you and your family are going to get lots of enjoyment out of it.  ^^^

But can you reach the buttons from the Spa?

Looks like more visits are in store to check it out. Looking forward to seeing BKY on the high score table very soon.

Well done.
