Avengers PREMIUM is released - photo n details

Avengers PREMIUM is released.

It has the same cabinet art ofcourse as the Pro Model, the same playfield as the LE models, and a similar translite to the Pro, but instead of Captain America being the main focus, its Ironman. Click on the photo below and it will quad-druple in size, use your mouse to slide the task bar 3/4 of the way accross to the right, then go up to see the translite in its full glory. I know Daz will like this version because Ironman is the main feature. Translite looks great.

Stern Pinball Announces Availability Of Avengers Premium Pinball

Avengers Premium Pinball Game Joins Stern’s Superhero Lineup

MELROSE PARK, IL – March 20, 2013 – Stern Pinball Inc., the world’s leading maker of real pinball games, announced today the release of The Avengers Premium pinball machine. Stern’s Avengers Premium model boasts the same exciting playfield features as the Limited Edition models and a unique Premium translite.

The newest member of the Stern collection memorializes The Avengers, a franchise that has remained a staple in pop culture since it first appeared as a comic book series in 1963. The Avengers will join Stern’s innovative line-up of comic-inspired machines including X-Men, Spiderman, Iron Man and Batman.

For almost 50 years The Avengers have delighted fans through comic books, television series and movies. Stern is thrilled to bring the franchise to pinball and provide fans with a new medium through which to enjoy The Avengers. The machine features a dynamic setting that incorporates six iconic Avenger heroes: Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye. Players help The Avengers assemble to defeat the notorious villain Loki. The Avengers pinball features an animated twisting and pounding custom molded HULK, drop targets and a spinning cube bonus, in addition to plenty of multiball action.[/i]

Pro model is still looking good! Swap that translite out and you have a Premium.....kind of.

I have the Pro translite already , and luckily signed by George Gomez, and the pen he signed with is a silver thin texta style pen.
The great thing about autographed translites, is that when the machine is turned off, you can see the signature, and when the machine gets turned on, and the fluro light kicks in, the signature dissapears, which means u get the best of both worlds.
Its difficult to get brand new translites for late model Sterns autographed by GG, SR or JB, unless someone does u a favour ofcourse.

I reckon it adds value to your machine having a signed translite, cause it just gives u that extra little bit of personality from the original game designer, and u have something in your machine that 99 percent of other people dont have. Something different anyway, and a little bit of a extra mod so to speak.

Premium translites are not available at this stage, but down the track I will get notified when GS allows them to be sold without the pinball machine attached. The Pro translite for Avengers looks amazing when lit up, so I reckon the Premium will look great as well.
A Pro translite next to a Premium translite will look excellent, espescially if both were signed. Stay tuned.

I dont think so.  They are still selling heaps of ACDC Pro and ACDC Premium Models, and they have lots of orders apparently for Avengers Pro and now the Avengers Premium model according to Stern, because they have backlogs to get the Pro models of both ACDC and Avengers out first.
The Avengers Premium has been released officially on paper, but they wont start producing any Premium Avenger models til they clear the back orders of Avenger Pro models, which according to Stern will be 4 or 5 weeks away, so no, not clearing inventory, but making more inventory i believe after contacting Stern, and then following up with AMD today.

The pricing of the Premium Avengers shld be $8250 with shaker if the pricing stays the same as ACDC Premium, but AMD wont be able to confirm pricing until Bruce gets back from his trip from the USA because he is with Gary Stern this week in the USA at the show.

I think the Pro is better value. I'm still not a fan of all these different models. I like Stern pinball, but would prefer one model, or one Pro and one LE.

Andy, I know what u are saying.
On previous models, like ACDC, I didnt like the LE, but liked the Pro. I didnt go the ACDC Premium, cause I didnt like the lower playfield of the LE which ofcourse was on the Premium.
On the Avengers Premium, I dont mind having the LE playfield in the Pro cabinet, cause I dont mind the LE playfield (although I have to relook at it closely again) but on the Premium, I prefer the Pros translite, if that also makes sense. Some of this, some of that, a hybrid works.lol

What it means, is that u can only be truly happy if u can make your own mutant version of a Stern game.lol  @.@ %.% %.%

Thats what Stern should offer next, a webpage, build your own by ticking n subtracting boxes.lol
I do worry but, if they produce one model only, if u dont like the art or the translite, then u are screwed.??

Playfield for Premium, note the Premium is using a black apron like the Pro, not the Blue apron pictured below.

Really want to like Avengers, theme is perfect for me. Unfortunatley the pinball wont grow on me despite repeated attempts and numerous $$$ spent playing it.

I keep trying to convince myself that this is a good game worthy of the hype but all that goes through my mind is....... :tumble:

Theres a saying that says that  if you try to please everybody, you end up pleasing nobody... in other words, there are too many variations whic will lead to liking 6 of one - half dozen of the other. Its a ridiculous multi layered selling platform Stern has

But it works Gav. Stern sells all the different models and alot of each model from past experiences.
The fact that different people have Pros, LE's and Premiums everywhere shows that Sterns multiple selling platform works. To start off with, I found it confusing, but now I have my head around it, I really like it.

Just like car companies, lots of different models on the lot, take ya pick. People just like choice. I think Sterns selling model is a winner and is here to stay. Its alot better than having less choice, but thats just my opinion.

Yeah I think having the option to build your own pinball selecting which items you do and don't want on it, trim colours, backglasses, LED's, toys, additional playfield etc etc would be great.  Also gives you the ability to upgrade it later too so your are not wearing the cost of one with all the fruit upfront. Builds some nice additional parts sales for Stern or whoever as well.
