a guy on pinside posted his thoughts on playing the game at the factory today, so below are snipets to what he thougth, though maybe a little out of context with the other peoples questions but gives you a good idea for now:

- Great shooting pin. I think everyone will be impressed with the toys in the PRO model. Not such a huge deal between versions. Love the inline drops. There's also a cool shot behind the fuel stand ups I didn't notice before. Music is great. Voice call outs are cool. I really think they'll end up selling lots of pros on this one. Fast/in your face play.

- motorized grave marker is cool but wouldnt really effect gameplay at all. At least not that I'm aware of.
Snake is on the pro but the LE/Premium will do cooler things with the snake.
Fuel bar is no big difference really from what I understand.
The hammer is a big feature on the LE that isnt on the pro at all.
Again, software is early, according to Lyman, but was fun.
My main point was if you cant afford a premium the pro is a blast and really feels full-featured vs feeling like a stripped down model.

- Pretty cool and stackable. I had at least two multiballs going at once. Maybe three (not sure about that though.) You choose music before ball launch as I recall. I stacked multiballs and had a bast.

- fulls songs I believe. I was having too much fun to be super analytical about it. =)

- The premium road case graphics are actually really cool. The translite was ok. I would much prefer the second premium dirty donny translate.

and for those that go to pinside, you can find the full thread here
http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/played-metallica-pro-today

Sounds good, if this game plays half as well as it looks it will be killer.
Thanks for posting.

Its actually 10am to 12pm and you have to register with AMD by 3rd May.
I would love to attend but have other commitments.  !!!
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

I think u are correct about 10 am. I was going from memory cause I couldn't find my original AMD email.  @.@

You can still turn up for the Metallica launch if u don't register by 3 May,(although its preferable) you just have to ring the guys at AMD before the day and let them know u are attending.

If any AP member attends, please don't forget photos or a quick video !  and hope u have a great time, should be a lot of fun for sure ^^^

A few pictures from Sterns facebook page.

A couple of very lucky kids who had the chance to play Metallica with John Borg ! What a great time they would have had.
Also, a local engineering school had the chance to play all the machines in the Stern Arcade as well.

I looked up

John Borgs
Steve Ritchies
George Gomezs
Jody Dakenbergs
Gary Sterns

FaceBook pages, and looked over them for a few hours I had spare, and got to read n see some really cool photos and things about these guys.

John Borg is a champion BMX bike racer
Steve Ritchie still likes his muscle cars and still rides his Moto X bikes

and so on
and so on
and so on

Something to do whilst waiting for the Metallica video and for Borgy to have his well deserved vacation !
