started attaching new looms to playfield.i did not get as far as i hoped,but tommorrow is another day.pics

I managed to get 4 hours into this today.very tedious work.pics.

I did a full loom swap on a Joker Poker playfield, so I know what it's line, and don't envy you that job!!

Mate great job, I have to do this on a Gottlieb Big House that has had al loom cut from both cabinet and play field. All connectors are missing and all has to be redone. I'm looking forward to challenge may have to call on u for advice

no probs dean for advice.that photo of the insert panel in the backbox would be nice soon.or maybee cut a big piece of paper and tape it to the insert and mark the holes for the lamps etc.just a thought.hope i am not asking for to much.then send it to me.i'll pay $

received lamp strips today from nick,pinies4me.thanks nick.I thought i will pre-emt any lamp failures,so i filed the lamp holders and metal strip adjacent so as to solder them together.I dug out my 30 year old 100watt weller for the job.pics

Miss my old Weller, left the same one back in UK. Great when I was on my back trying to solder something up in a car dash board. There still made, but bet the (Weller) Chinese ones won't give you 30 years.

My 30's and 40's pins have many of the original globes in them... all still working

They were definitely made better back then.  Most globes in my 1955 marathon still worked when I got it changed them all to new ones and have replaced half of them again since lol

Excellent work so far Studley . 
I reckon cable lacing must be a lost art these days .
I learnt how to do it during my traineeship with OTC in the early 80's .
