For anyone that hasn't seen it yet.  I think the thread on Pinside speaks for itself.

If Del does in fact have people's money, I can't see how he can be withholding that money and blocking anyone that paid up in good faith from getting their machine.  I would like to think that Del would do the right thing and get the machines to the people who bought them somehow.

If it isn't already, I can see this turning into one almighty poo fight.

My experiences with Bumper has been ordinary to say the least.
I hope they fold, they have been treating customers like crap and getting away with it for far too long.

Typically when you purchase a business, employee entitlements such as accrued sick leave, annual leave, quarterly super etc then become the new owners liability. They are a liability sitting on the company's balance sheet which presumably you take into account when determining your purchase price.

As for the WOZ deposit stuff it's seems impossible to determine fact from fiction, although there seems to be a fair amount of smoke on the issue from what I have read over various forums. Hopefully everything works out fine for WOZ buyers.

I think it is a cheep shot to join a forum just to bag out a former employer

I doubt he had any reservation taking money from customers believing the company had financial issues

Ooh cool.  Was there anyone or anything inside the UFO?  Do they like Pinball?

Once DM posted on Pinside, it was going to be everywhere (as it is now).  I don't know if it was a good thing or bad thing that he did it but no going back now.

Good to hear Dan, I was a little worried for you when I sent the text, sorry for making your phone run hot!!

I just posted to Pinside a comment. Bumper should think about who they sponsor.......

Whether you like Bumper or not, no-one wants to see another pinball retailer close it's doors.  Competition is good for everyone as is having another option to find pinball parts or machines.

So true Daniel.

From my point of view it sounds like rumors and rubbish that have been started elsewhere. Note other forum's members sinking their boots in. This forum is well above that kind of "women's knitting club" rubbish. It really is embarrassing.

Exactly the more businesses in this industry the better for us as consumers IMHO.  More competition, more choice, more chance of the industry/hobby growing etc etc
